Steez rods utilize the incredible SVF (super volume fibre) graphite which combines precise resin control with unidirectional graphite fibre. Combined with the famous Bias Construction diagonal ply design, to create a finer diameter blank that resists twisting, eliminating stress, creating better casting accuracy and greater hook setting power, to produce a blank with maximum density yet extremely light, powerful and sensitive.
The introduction in 2007 of the new X-Torque design in the Machine Gun cast models saw the debut of a radical new blank concept that sets a new standard. By bias cross wrapping the carbon layers it increases the strength virtually eliminating blank twist and increasing torque dramatically. Not only does in increase strength but also power, casting accuracy and dramatically influences casting trajectory. X-Torque and SVF is the future for the ultimate casting performance.
The two low modulus versions are designed to imitate the action of glass rods and have a regular action ideally suited for fishing crankbaits. The regular action provides shock absorption for aggressive fish hitting lures hard and decreases the chances of pulling hooks.
