Well known throughout the tournament fishing fraternity, Steez is renowned as one the best spinning and baitcaster reels available. Over the past few years the limited range of spinning rods that have been available have gained an avid following, only one thing held the back from becoming legendary. A Steez series specifically designed for Australian techniques was needed. Designed over an 18 month period the all new Australian specification Steez rods have arrived.
Steez rods utilize the famous Bias Construction diagonal ply design, to create a finer diameter blank that resists twisting, eliminating stress, creating better casting accuracy and greater hook setting power, to produce a blank with maximum density yet extremely light, powerful and sensitive. Only the ultimate components are used to really deliver the blanks full potential from Fuji’s ultimate titanium silicone carbide guides, to using Daiwa’s Airbeam reel seats, these are one high tech series of rods. Each blank is constructed of different carbon material to suit a specific fishing technique.
Steez Tornado
Tornado is constructed with a Low Modulus carbon, this high tech carbon is one of the most difficult to manufacture and imitates the traditional action of a glass rod. With a very soft tip section this rod produces a parabolic action that is perfect for fishing fluorocarbon lines with small crankbaits and topwaters for bream or small jerk baits and topwaters for Australian bass and trout.
Steez Thunderstorm
Thunderstorm uses the incredibly light and fast SVF Compile X graphite, this graphite produces an incredible fast blank that has extreme sensitivity. Ideally suited for soft plastic techniques for just about any light tackle species, the Thunderstorm is the perfect rod for anglers who want one rod for bream and flathead in estuaries to bass, trout or golden perch in impoundments.
Steez Power Junkie
Power Junkie utilizes the brilliant X-Torque design. This blank design uses bias cross wrapped carbon layers, as used in the Saltiga jigging rods, to increase the strength, virtually eliminating blank twist and increasing torque dramatically. This very fast blank is the ideal rod for anglers chasing powerful fish like snapper, small tuna, barramundi, golden perch with soft plastics, jerk baits, jigs etc
Steez Hot Dog
This is one hot rod! Utilizing the X-torque design, the Hot Dog is the premium heavy duty spin rod perfect for throwing frogs into weedbeds for impoundment barramundi, soft jerk baits into Longtail tuna schools or swimming blades in the shallow reefs for snapper. The Hot Dog rod has a soft tip for casting light lures but incredible power to drag even the biggest fish from cover.
